When I speak to parents and residents across Thurrock, one issue comes up time and again: traffic and parking chaos at school drop off and pick up.

This is stressful for families, disruptive for residents, and in some cases puts children at risk.

That’s why I’m launching my School Streets campaign — calling on the council to roll out School Streets schemes across the borough, which limit access to certain streets at school pick-up and drop-off times.

Working together with schools, parents, and residents, we can create safer streets for our children to get to school.
